Here’s my response to Harambe the gorilla’s untimely death, the child and the mother. I’ve been getting texts and emails to write about this important hot topic.

(A.K.A. the over-inflamed distraction/issue of the week.)

  • 1) In the United States, approximately 1 out of every 4 girls and 1 out of every 6 boys is sexually abused.a
  • 2) Seventy to 73% of child sexual abusers report experiencing sexual abuse in their own childhood.e
  • 3) Approximately 60% of sexual abusers are known to the child but are not family members, such as family friends, babysitters, or neighbors.c
  • 4) Approximately 30% of sexual abusers are family members, such as fathers, mothers, brothers, uncles, or cousins.d
  • 5) It is estimated that less than half of all sexual assaults on children are reported to the police.

MOREOVER…

According to WHO, every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions PER DAY. In the USA, where nearly half of pregnancies are unintended and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion, there are over 3,000 abortions per day.

No… please, please, please, tell me more opinions about Gorillas.

Because I don’t give a flying #$^# about that issue.
